Automatic warmup

Every new domain earns its volume. The platform does the earning.

A brand-new sending domain has no history with anyone. Send too much too soon and it is throttled before it has a reputation to lose. SendTo warms every domain automatically — small at first, growing as receivers accept, slowing itself the moment the signals say so. No schedule. No spreadsheet. No separate service to buy.

Why warmup runs itself

A warmup schedule is a plan. Real warmup is a feedback loop.

The conventional way to warm a domain is a table: day one, fifty messages; day seven, four hundred; day fourteen, a thousand. Somebody follows it. Somebody is also supposed to notice when day nine goes badly and stop — and in practice the table is followed on the good days and forgotten on the bad ones, which is the opposite of what a receiver wants to see.

Warmup was never really about volume. It is about a receiver learning that mail from a domain is wanted: opened, unbounced, uncomplained about. Volume is simply how much evidence you present each day. Present too much before the receiver trusts you and it is discarded. Present a steady, growing amount of clean mail and trust builds as fast as it safely can.

SendTo watches every response from every receiver and adjusts tomorrow’s ceiling from today’s results — up on clean days, down the instant bounces or complaints spike. It is what a deliverability engineer would do every morning, done every hour, for every client.

Small on day one, without holding the client back

The moment a domain is registered it is in warmup. Its first days carry a modest share of the client’s campaigns — enough to build history, never enough to alarm anyone. The load balancer handles the arithmetic: the warming domain gets its ceiling and the established domains carry the rest, so the client’s campaigns go out at full size from the first day.

  • No opt-in, no schedule, no separate tool
  • Warming domains carry a small share; established ones carry the rest
  • Full-size campaigns from day one

Grows with acceptance, slows with signals

A clean day — accepted mail, low bounces, no complaints — raises tomorrow’s ceiling. A bad day lowers it. The signals come from the receivers themselves, per domain, so a rough patch at one provider does not push volume at another. This is the part a table can never do: react to what actually happened.

  • Ceilings derived from each domain’s own history
  • Bounce or complaint spikes reduce volume automatically
  • Per-receiver signals, never one global number

Graduates into the pool — and can be slowed again

Once a domain has earned a full share it joins the client’s other domains as an equal. From then on it is monitored like the rest, and if its reputation ever slips it is slowed the same way it was grown. Nobody has to notice. Nobody has to act.

  • Full share when the history justifies it
  • Continuous monitoring after graduation
  • Slowed automatically if the signals turn

Warmup you never think about is warmup that never burns a client.

No burned domains, no awkward calls

The most common way a new sender ruins a domain is sending too much before anyone trusts it. That cannot happen here: the ceiling is enforced by the platform.

Onboard a client and send the same week

Warming domains contribute their share and established ones carry the rest, so a brand-new client does not wait a month to see results.

A service you used to sell, now built in

Consultants charged for warmup plans. Partners on SendTo get it as part of the platform — and sell the campaigns instead.

0warmup spreadsheets, ever again

I used to sell warmup as a service. Now it is just something my platform does, and I sell the campaigns.

FAQ

Questions

How long does warmup take?

It depends on the domain’s acceptance history — that is the point. Clean mail to an engaged audience graduates quickly; a domain that draws bounces takes longer because the platform is protecting it. The state is visible on every domain.

Do campaigns have to wait for warmup to finish?

No. The load balancer gives a warming domain the share its ceiling allows and the client’s established domains carry the rest. Campaigns go out at full size.

What if a client only has new domains?

All of a new client’s domains warm in parallel from registration. Early campaigns are paced to what those domains have earned — which is how a new sender should behave. Start with the client’s most engaged segment and the history builds fastest.

Can I override the ceiling?

The ceiling comes from receiver responses, and overriding it would mean sending mail receivers have not yet indicated they want. The platform does not offer that, because it would cost the client the domain.

Is warmup an extra charge?

No. It is part of every managed domain. Messages sent during warmup are ordinary campaign sends.

Warmup that runs itself. Domains that last.

Every client’s domains earn their volume automatically from the day they are registered.
