Managed sending domains

Sending domains, handled. Nobody touches DNS. Ever.

Every client sends from brand-matched domains the platform registers, authenticates, hosts and warms for them. There is no registrar login, no DNS panel and no onboarding checklist for a client to fail. The client sees green ticks. That is all they ever need to see.

Why we manage them

The DNS step is where email onboarding goes to die. So we deleted it.

Every agency has the story. The client is keen, the contract is signed, and then somebody has to add three records to a domain the client’s IT contractor set up in 2014. Two weeks later the records are half right, authentication is failing, the first campaign is late, and the client has quietly decided this is going to be hard.

The records were never the problem. The problem was a platform that made the client responsible for infrastructure the platform should own. A sending domain is a working asset — it needs registering, authenticating, warming, monitoring and, eventually, rotating. That is a job for software.

So the platform does it. Create a client, approve the domain names it proposes, and the registration, the records, the tracking hostname, the landing-page hosting and the warmup all happen without anyone opening another tab. Onboarding a client takes minutes, and the first campaign can go out the same day.

Brand-matched, so every domain reads as the client

The domains are variations of the client’s own name: northgate-mail.com, northgatenews.com, hello-northgate.com. Each reads as the client to a recipient and each carries its own reputation with receivers — so a set of them can share the load and any one can be slowed without the others noticing.

  • Names proposed from the client’s brand, approved by you
  • Separate from the client’s website domain, which stays untouched
  • Add more as a client’s volume grows

Authenticated and aligned, every time

Every domain is set up with the full set of authentication records receivers expect, and the platform keeps them aligned: the From address, the signature, the tracking links and the landing page all belong to the same domain for every recipient. If a record ever drifts, the platform notices and repairs it. You see a status. You never see a task.

  • SPF, DKIM and DMARC set up at registration
  • Per-recipient alignment of From, signature, links and page
  • Drift detected and repaired automatically

Warmed, monitored, rotated

A newly registered domain starts warming on its own. The load balancer gives it the share its history justifies and increases it as receivers accept its mail. A domain that draws bounces is slowed and its share moves to the client’s other domains. When a client grows, add a domain and the platform brings it online the same way.

  • Warmup starts at registration, with no schedule to maintain
  • Load share follows each domain’s acceptance history
  • New domains online in minutes, warmed over weeks

For your business

Onboarding that takes minutes is onboarding that closes.

No IT ticket, no lost month

The client is created, the domains come online, the first campaign goes out. The month that used to disappear into DNS becomes a month you invoice.

Their brand stays protected

Sending domains are separate from the client’s website domain, so the reputation their campaigns build never touches the domain their business runs on.

A thing to show, not explain

Open the domains screen on a sales call. Green ticks, warmup rings, “nobody touched DNS.” It is the easiest demo you will ever give.

0DNS tickets across 26 clients

The domain step used to cost us the first month with every client. Now it is the thing I show them to prove how easy this will be.

FAQ

Questions

Does the client have to do anything?

No. The platform registers the domains, sets up authentication, provisions tracking and landing-page hosting and starts warmup. The client sees the status in your portal.

Why brand-name variations rather than subdomains?

A subdomain inherits the reputation and the risk of the parent domain, and it reads as a technical address. A brand-matched domain reads as the client and carries its own reputation, so several can share the load and one can be slowed without affecting the rest.

What does an extra domain cost?

Additional managed domains are billed in Usage Credits per month and include everything the standard ones do: registration, authentication, tracking hostname, landing-page hosting, warmup and monitoring.

Who owns the domains?

They are registered and managed by the platform on behalf of the client account for as long as the account is active — which is exactly what makes it possible for nobody to have to manage them.

Are the sending domains used for the client’s website?

No. They are dedicated to sending. The client’s website stays exactly where it is.

Onboard a client without a single DNS record.

Create the account, approve the names, and the platform brings the domains online. Try it in the sample workspace first.
